The note on approvals having a scope and an expiry is clear in principle. What I would find useful is a worked example: an approval that expired, what the agent did next, and what the reviewer saw. Could the editorial desk add one, or does someone here have a real case?

Real case: a pricing approval expired at month end, the agent kept using the old price in a draft, the claim-check gate flagged the number as unsupported because the approval record was closed. Reviewer saw "approval expired on 30/09" next to the number. Nothing shipped.

That is a good one. I will ask for it to go into the note with names removed. Thank you both.

Exactly what I needed. Expiry as a visible reason, not a silent block.

The anonymised example is in the field note now, with a short paragraph on what the reviewer saw. Thank you both.
