Short-form: hooks that work in English die in German. Anyone solved this?

the caption agent is fine in the second language now. the hook agent is not: english hooks are questions, german hooks that are questions sound like a quiz show. translating the hook does not work, re-writing from the clip does. anyone have a per-language hook rule set they would share?
