Marketing team of one: what I hand to agents and what I keep

EB

Bootstrapped analytics tool. I am the marketing team. Here is the current split, since people keep asking.

Agents: first drafts of every blog post, the newsletter outline, the social variants, changelog summaries, competitor monitoring, the weekly numbers readout.

Me: the newsletter itself, every headline, every reply to a customer, pricing page, anything with a number a customer could hold me to.

The split moves about once a month, always in the same direction, and I am not sure yet whether that is good.

That is almost exactly our split at thirty people. The difference is we have three people arguing about where the line goes.

Keep the readout in the 'agent' column but read it like a sceptic. Ours still wants a story when the numbers are flat.

Lifecycle marketer, new. Trial-to-paid emails are on my 'me' list for the same reason as your pricing page: a customer can hold me to them.

Buyer's view: this list is what I ask every vendor to show me. Where does the line go, and how often does it move.
